Growing and Beyond!
This month and past month we have been cranking out contract applications for our Urban Planning & Design firm. Starting from scratch we are growing our small business to a point where we can hire people and have keys to an office space here in North Beacon Hill. Here's what we've been up to. Yes, this includes our losses and wins. We share these stories for others to learn what it's like in starting your own Urban Planning & Design firm.
November/December 2021 - We applied for our first contract with the City of Seattle's Redistricting Commission where we had an interview, but didn't get it.
December 2021 - Applied for a contract with the City of Seattle's DOT
December 2021 - Applied for contract #3 with the City of Seattle's Office of Planning and Community Development
January 2022 - Completed a 2 year Anti-Gerrymandering Final Report
January 2022 - Applied for our 4th contract with King County Metro, with the help of Alta Planning + Design.
